Château Mont-Redon, established in 1344, is one of the oldest wine-producing Estates in France and the largest single property in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 2019 under the stewardship of Piere Fabre the family moved south down the Rhône Valley to establish Saint Max in Provence. Saint Max Rosé is named after Saint Maximin d’Aix, the legendary first bishop of Aix-en-Provence from the 1st century AD. Whole-bunch pressed and given a short skin contact, the Saint Max is aged on fine lees in tanks for up to six months before bottling.
On the palate, it offers a crisp acidity balanced by refreshing notes of red berries and a hint of minerality, culminating in a smooth, lingering finish.
