Triple distilled and non-chill filtered, Powers 1817 Release is a single pot still whiskey characterised by full, spicy and wonderfully complex flavours, which personifies the style of whiskey that was renowned the world over and prevalent in the pubs of Dublin in 1817 at the foundation of the LVA. Powers 1817 Release reveals a complex background of barley and oak in its tasting notes*, with aromatic flavours including vanilla, sweet fruits, herbs and spices.
Powers 1817 Release, commemorating Dublin Pub heritage and the 200th anniversary of the Licensed Vintners Association.

Nose: Vanilla notes are swiftly fortified by Pot Still Spices. Nutmeg and Black pepper are balanced by fruity notes of Red apple and Black Cherry.

Taste: The initial sip delivers a smooth mouth-coating with sweet fruity notes of Red apple and Citrus zest, balanced with the Herbs and Spices of this style of Pot Still Whiskey. Barley contribution along with American Oak are ever present adding to its complexity.

Finish: The richness of the Spices and Fruit is slow to fade, leaving the final word with the Barley.
