Since André Alary in 1692, ten generations of grape growers from one to the next for over 300 years have worked on the same vineyard. The leaders in the region, Frédéric and François Alary took over the farm in 1984 and work 25 hectares on the Saint Martin hillsides including the oratoire, built in the middle of the vineyard, which gave its name to the estate. The vines are an average of 50 years old and grow on clay-limestone soils. The brothers are certified organic and bio-dynamic.
This wine is best enjoyed immediately for its ever so floral, fruity and lifted character. The nose shows black fruits and violet notes, while the mouth displays delicately fruity and spicy character. It will ideally pair with grilled red meats, delicatessen and cheese assortments.
