Named after New Zealand's prolific bedrock, Greywacke is the new label of Kevin Judd, one of Marlborough's pioneer winemakers whose career is intrinsically linked with the international profile of Marlborough Sauvignon.Blanc. He was the the founding wine maker at the now eponymous 'Cloudy Bay' and remained pivotal character in the development of that brand for 25 years untill 2008 when he left to pursue this solo venture.
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc is created from select parcels of fruit grown in prime vineyard sites it is deliciously aromatic and a finely balanced wine showing the hallmarks of that famed style , ripe fruit , great concentration and a superb varietal intensity.
