ABV 13% This 23 hectare estate has been in the family for four generations, since 1905, and shows just how good Sauvignon from the Loire can be, both from a quality and value point of view. Domaine des Corbillières employs organic farming methods because they believe this yields the best results and their Sauvignon de Touraine is consistently full with firm minerality, lively aromas and lovely richness on the palate. Véronique and Dominique Barbou have 13 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vineyards situated on the sandy and clay slopes of Oisly. The low yields (thanks to bud and bunch thinning) and full ripeness (assisted by leaf plucking which exposes the fruit) ensure intensity on the palate that gives the wine great length, and dispenses with the need for the addition of residual sugar. Vinification is in stainless steel and the wine is left on its lees until bottling. The result is a very fine Sauvignon.
