Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo was founded in 1874 and has developed an international reputation for producing elegant, refined sherries. The winery is located in the historical heart of Jerez de la Frontera. The quintessential Spanish Jerez is a far cry from the perceived cream Sherries. The open top fermenters (sometimes out door), the 'flor' (the floating yeast foam) and the unique ageing of Sherries in a Solera System (a series of connected gravity fed barrels) all add to create a very diverse and distinctive range of wines. Through their efforts, Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo is recognized worldwide for its high quality and distinct style. The winery has received countless accolades from sherry connoisseurs and top critics.
Generous dry wine, pale yellow in colour with a distinctive and sharp bouquet, acquired during its development in oak casks under the ‘flor.’ It is a full flavoured wine with a satisfying aftertaste.
