Local to the Val di Susa area, baratuciat* was the first white variety planted at Cascina Iuli, in 2015. Fabrizio selected it for its naturally high acidity, minerality and complexity, and felt it would be expressive of his terroir.

Bright, vivacious notes of preserved lemon, grapefruit peel and chalky mineral, with a rounded, almost waxy texture that is a great foil for the acidity.

*means cat's balls in the local dialect because of the shape of the grapes (see bottle image)
