With Portal del Priorat, Alfredo offers elegant estate wines, the Clos Farm Site, with more than 40 ha in size, 15 ha. of which are vineyards producing very low (about 1 kg per vine). Many of these vines, Grenache and Carignan varieties, have been recovered from abandoned terraces and costers, although there were some strains of syrah and some other experimental variety. The vineyard is working according to organic viticulture and cellar work aims to reflect the expression of terroir, making short maceration, low extraction, and a very respectful parenting, a style of wine you are looking for elegance and silky tannins. The fermentations were carried out with indigenous yeasts and racking occur only rarely.
