Emmanuel Darnaud crafts exceptionally expressive wines from his 15 hectares across Crozes-Hermitage. Each plot receives meticulous attention, with grapes hand-harvested and vinified separately to capture the essence of each terroir. This dedication to detail is evident in his polished, generous wines.

In Addition to making impressive wines in Crozes-Hermitage, Emmanuel owns 1.7 hectares of 30- to 80-year-old, southeast facing vines on granitic soil in Saint Joseph and jewel in the crown Hermitage which he just inherited from his father in-law, local legend Bernard Faurie. More than a few top growers in the northern Rhône have commented that they believe that in certain vintages Bernard's red Hermitage are as good as those of Jean-Louis Chave.

2021 is the first vintage of Emmanuel Darnaud Hermitage from prized parcels of Greffieux, Bessards, and Meal, boasting some of the appellation's finest vines, exceeding a century in age. They are prized wines that for now offer extraordinary value.
