Tyrconnell 10 Year Old, Port Cask Finish 700ML
ABV 46%
The Tyrconnell is a brand steeped in history and heritage. The Tyrconnell dates back to the glory days of Irish whiskey. Traditionally, most Irish malt has been used to create blended Irish whiskey so it is rare to find Irish malt whiskey bottled in its purest form. Distilled in the old Irish tradition this pure pot still single malt whiskey uses only the most natural Irish ingredients of barley and fresh spring water. The resulting whiskey is then left to peacefully mature in oak casks stored in 200 year old granite warehouses allowing it to develop its full flavour and character.
One of the three superb whiskeys in the Tyrconnell Wood Finish Range.
‘Very soft spices with lots of fruity cocoa; Cooley has excelled with its first serious foray into cask finishing. Like fruit and nut chocolate without the nuts, Wonderful!.’ 93/100 Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2009
